Make Writing Pleasurable

Are you a writer who:

  • Doesn’t currently have a consistent writing practice, but wants to?

  • Has been missing all your own self-imposed deadlines?

  • Has a brilliant idea for a book, false starts scattered in notepads and Google Docs, but you can’t seem to make progress?

  • Has a habit of starting, but never finishing, your creative projects?

My approach

When I set out to write my first novel, I discovered I had to unlearn all the productivity routines that served me so well in my career as a journalist and startup founder.

Then, I had to re-learn how to trust my subconscious, the part of the brain that does non-linear thinking.

Productivity culture—deadlines, outlines, master plans—has burned off the neural pathways you need for creative work. I help you re-activate this part of yourself, with a blend of coaching and intuitive practices.

What we’ll do

In our first session, we’ll set your goals for your current project, and how it fits into your greater career and life. We can also outline your book, and design a writing routine that is aligned to you.

I like to create a series of “experiments” which takes the pressure off and brings writing back to being playful and light!

As your work progresses, we’ll tackle blocks and resistance as they come up. Along the way, I can review pages, advise on writing craft, time management, building an audience, and your path to publishing.

Get started with an intro call

Let’s get to know each other! I’d love to hear what you’re writing, and your current hurdles.

If every time you sit down to write, you hear a voice inside saying, “no one’s ever going to read this,” or “you’re wasting your time,”—you’re in the right place. The inner critic always gets the loudest just before a breakthrough.
